Synopsis

[Moonzy: Homecoming] is a heartwarming preschool animation movie that follows the adventures of Moonzy, a fluffy and cute moonchild who calls Earth's forest meadow home, along with his friendly insect friends. One day, Moonzy discovers a way to return to the Moon, his original home. However, his journey is not without challenges. As Moonzy embarks on his extraordinary journey back to the Moon, he must overcome a lot of obstacles and decide where his true home is.

Konstantin BRONZIT’s New Challenge: A Masterfully Crafted Homecoming Story for Moonzy, the Moonchild

Russian animation master Konstantin BRONZIT, well known for his two Academy Award-nominated shorts, [Lavatory Lovestory] and [We Can’t Live Without Cosmos], is back with a new feature film. Renowned for his distinctive humor and unique artistic vision, BRONZIT embarks on an exciting creative journey with  [Moonzy: Homecoming].

At first glance, the film may appear to be a whimsical adventure born of pure imagination, yet it subtly carries his signature wit and thoughtful introspection. Through the journey of Moonzy, a lovable child from the moon in search of his true home, the story explores the embrace of difference, the quest for identity, and the meaning of existence.

At its core, the film asks a simple yet profound question: “What is a true home?” 

To evoke universal empathy across generations, BRONZIT avoids complex symbolism, instead telling the story through pure-hearted and transparent characters. In this new work, a master of independent animation boldly transcends genre boundaries, gently inviting us to reflect on a question that remains relevant even in adulthood.
