Lecture 1 Reading Animation Criticism 1

Reviews written by participants in the animation criticism class are shared in a blind critique.
A variety of opinions about diverse films are read together as we take a look at each review.

Lecture 2 Reading Animation Criticism 1 & Conversation with Directors Simulation 1

Week 1 of reading criticism is wrapped up. We invite the directors of the films that we enjoyed and listen to their stories. This is an opportunity to look at animations from multiple perspectives, including those of the audience members, critics, and creators.

Lecture 3 Conversation with Directors Simulation 2

We continue with topics from Week 2. The films selected by the students, along with the directors of those films, present their stories in an intimate exchange with the audience.

Lecture 4 Writing & Reading Animation Criticism 2

Reviews are written for the films selected by the students, and these reviews are once again shared in a blind critique. If topics that arose during the four weeks of discussions need to be continued, a one-point lecture may also be held.
