ON THE WHITE PLANET

Everything on the White Planet is black and white. Everyone on the planet has white skin. On this planet, CHOI Min-je is the only person whose skin bears color. Everyone treats him like a monster. Min-je is raised, locked up in his own room and exposed to extreme violence. One day when Min-je is 15, his mother falls apart, killing her husband and takes her own life. Min-je witnesses it all and believes that everything has happened because he is different. He wants an ordinary life like others, and the only way to achieve that is to get out of this planet. The sky is filled with such beautiful colours. Somewhere beyond the sky, surely exist people just like him. Then people who claim that they can help, show up in Min-je’s life.

Soul

The funeral car passes through the field. When it arrives at the cemetery, the coffin is removed from the car and buried it in the ground. The body is decomposed by insects and animals. The last remaining life essence is absorbed by the roots of a tree, becoming a tiny fruit. The widow who visits the grave shares the fruit with a man and a new life is conceived. This film is a parody of reincarnation, questioning man’s selfish concerns revolving around his own life.

Ashes in the Thicket

The Protagonist observes a U.F.O accidentally, and suffers from hallucination that his body gets torn to pieces by a strange power. His illusion becomes serious, and finally his lover and he commit suicide so as to escape from the illusion. After death, however, they find themselves standing on a strange land where half bodies of others are wandering. Even their half bodies are also died out on a wire fence.

O-nu-ri

In the beginning of time, there lives a girl named O-nu-ri in an island called Won-Chun Khang. No one knows when and where O-nu-ri was born and coming from. Won-Chun Khang is a beautiful place where spring, summer, fall and winter originated. In this peaceful land, O-nu-ri lives with a mother-like big crane named Ya-Ah, who is taking care of O-nu-ri as one of her child. One quiet night, O-nu-ri is kidnapped by several men. Here, O-nu-ri’s long journey begins in search of Ya-Ah in Won-Chun Khang.

A Monster in the Reservoir

A lonely, gigantic monster lives in a reservoir surrounded by mountains. One day a little boy came to the reservoir and almost met this monster but he was scared to reveal himself to this little boy because this boy would be scared of. As time goes by, many people with different kinds of their stories come and go but this monster still lives alone. At this moment, one man who knows the truth of this monster comes to this reservoir.

Aksim

While managing to get along in the animal world, a monkey named Aksim accidentally enters the evil forest, where human souls are haunting. In the evil forest where, it is said, souls of monkeys are gnawed and rot, the soul of a girl named Chun-ja comes into the body of Aksim. Following the memory of Chun-ja, Aksim shows a mental crack which makes him go to an irrevocable direction.

My Beautiful Girl, Mari

Nam-wu lives with his grandmother and mother after losing his father to a tragic accident in a small village by the sea. He and his best friend Jun-ho are both 12 years old and they hang out with Yo, the cat. One day, he sees a mysterious bead that gives out a strange light at a local store. He worries over it that night and goes back there to buy it but it's no longer there. Disappointed, he hangs out with Yo by the lighthouse. When Yo runs inside the lighthouse, Nam-wu follows it. There he finds the bead on a shelf. When the light hits the bead, the lighthouse transforms into a magical place. As Nam-wu plummets into a pit, a young girl reaches out for him in the nick of time. Nam-wu tells Jun-ho about his fantastic experience but he doesn't believe him. The two visit the lighthouse again and meet Ma-ri, the girl from a fantasy land. The two share this secret between them. But as the two pass their days with Ma-ri, Nam-wu's grandmother collapses and a storm that hits the village puts Jun-ho's father in jeopardy…
