KIM Sang-hwa
KIM Sang-hwa is the director of the Busan International Kids & Youth Film Festival, a member of the executive committee for the Busan International Film Festival, the executive director of Film Network Busan, and a member of the board of directors for the Korean Independent Animation Filmmakers Association.
Since retiring as a professor of animation several years ago, he has taken up the position of co-director for Playingman and is involved in planning, organizing, and lecturing for arts and cultural projects. He also gives lectures on film production and film literacy and participates as a jury member for domestic and international film festivals. -
HAN Jiwon
HAN Jiwon is an animation director. She studied animation at the Korea National University of Arts School of Film. She is the director of the short animations <Kopiluwak> and <On The Way To School> and the animated feature film <Clearer Than You Think>, an omnibus of four short animations made by the director in university. She is currently working on the web animation series <The Recipe Given to Daughter> based on an essay by GONG Ji-young.

Shaista LATIF
haista Latif is a queer Afghan-Canadian artist, writer, and facilitator. She is a published playwright. Her works <How I Learned to Serve Tea>, <The Archivist> and <Graceful Rebellions> have been presented across Canada. Latif is honored to be present for the Indie-Ani Fest and is thrilled to represent <The Breadwinner>.

HAN Byung-a
HAN Byung-a graduated from the Korea National University of Arts Department of Animation in 2002. Since then, she has directed 6 short animations.
In 2007, she co-founded Asubia Animation Production where she has worked as an art director for various commercial projects.
Currently, she is working on independent projects including short animations, object art, and illustration around the themes of women, life, and growth. -
Waltraud GRAUSGRUBER
Waltraud Grausgruber is festival director and co-founder of the “Tricky Women Festival” in Vienna, Austria. “Tricky Women” is the first and only festival of animated film that is dedicated exclusively to animation by women. It takes place since 2001. Grausgruber studied theatre, film and media studies and tourism in Vienna. 2010 she got the Outstanding Artists Award of the Austrian Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture. The festival director published books like [Tricky Women_Animations Film Kunst von Frauen / Women in Animation].

Kirsten LEPORE
Kirsten Lepore is an LA-based director and animator, and alumna of CalArts. Her recent viral hit “Hi Stranger” garnered upwards of 200 million views online, and her stop-motion episode of Adventure Time won a 2016 Emmy & Annie award. Her other films have taken top prizes at SXSW, Slamdance, and many other international festivals. She has worked with clients such as Google, MTV, Facebook, Mini Cooper, Toyota, Whole Foods, Nestle, and many more. Kirsten was named one of the 50 most creative people by Creativity Magazine. She is currently animation directing an indie feature film.

LEE Kyung-hwa
She studied animation and worked for many years as an animator for studios and outsourced productions. Between 2008 and 2015, she did a wide range of work in the Film Festival Team for the Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival. In 2012, she made the short animation <Underground>. In 2013, she launched the magazine Seoul Animators (seoulanimators.com) which introduces animation filmmakers and their work to readers. She is also the program coordinator for the Asia Road Competition in the 2016 Indie-AniFest.

CHUNG Joo-a
She studied French language and literature at Ewha Womans University where she also studied visual information design. She also studied new media art at the European School of Visual Arts (EESI) at Angoulême, France. Her works as a director include

BAEK Miyoung
AEK Miyoung studied animation at L'Ecole des Métiers du Cinéma d'Animation (EMCA) in France and was a resident at La Maison des Auteurs in Angoulême. She received her MFA in visual design from Seoul National University College of Fine Arts. She is an adjunct professor at Kaywon University of Art & Design.

Jinny Hyejin CHOO
Animation & Media Artist, film festival programmer. Majored in Animation and Illustration. Guest Professor at School of Film, TV & Multimedia, the Korea National University of Arts. Beginning with Pucheon International Student Animation Festival in 2000, she has been working as a programmer at Seoul International Cartoon Animation Festival, Gwacheon SF Film Festival, Siggraph Asia Computer Animation Festival Director, and works for Indie-AniFest now. She studies on the possibility of Integrated Art Therapy through animations, as she has performed animation therapy workshops for children, teenagers and adults since 2010.

KANG Min-Ji
KANG Min-Ji is an experimental animation director who has made numerous short animations including <A Pimple> (2006), <Hello! > (2006), <A Piece of Paper> (2008), <Myo-A> (2010), <Souvenir Animation> (2012), <Before & After> (2015), and <Dongreeni> (2017). She also creates commercial projects such as advertisements, music videos, and trailers and holds exhibitions and workshops that utilize animation.

HONG Jun-Pyo
HONG Jun-Pyo is an animation director and the CEO of Studio Roomer. He graduated from the Department of Animation at Korea National University of Arts and has consistently made animated films over the years. His short animations include <Carburetor>, <Deadline Makes Creative>, <Across the Wind>, and <Map: Prologue>. His film <Across the Wind> won the Special Prize for Debut Film at Indie-AniFest 2013. He is currently working on a feature-length animation.

YEON Sangho
YEON Sangho is an animation director, producer, and filmmaker. He was born in Seoul in 1978. His first feature-length animation <The King of Pigs> was presented at the 65th Cannes Film Festival. Thereafter, he directed his second and third animated feature films, <The Fake> and <Seoul Station>.
His live-action feature <Train to Busan> drew in over 10 million moviegoers and was invited to the Midnight Screening at the 69th Cannes Film Festival.
He directed his second live-action feature <Psychokinesis> in 2018. -
LEE Jonghoon
LEE Jonghoon is a director and the CEO of VCRWORKS. He received his BFA in animation from the Korea National University of Arts. He is a member of the festival committee for Indie-AniFest 2018. His short animations include <Dream Work> (2006), <My Ball> (2008), and <The Starry Night> (2017). He creates a wide range of projects that use animation including music videos, advertisements, and short films.
