Synopsis
A girl looks for her mother in a supermarket and a forest. And at the end of the forest, she encounters her mother’s life.
Director's Comment
A Place in Blue is the story of a young girl who lost her mother in a supermarket, and a girl who finds her mother in a strange forest. The title suggests complex feelings towards her mother and her life before motherhood which is unknowable. I felt a closeness to my own mother, but there was a mysterious corner of her life that was inaccessible to me, which led me to feel sorrow. I defined this sadness as being “blue.” This film uses experimental narration to portray the life and memory of an individual as a kind of poem.
