Synopsis

Mr. so-and-so, a hikikomori, makes a living by posting blog advertisements disguised as a woman in her early twenties nicknamed ‘Amumu’. Mr. so-and-so faces the unstoppable visitors when he hears about the marriage news of his blog neighbor ‘Macaron-holic’, a woman he secretly admires.

Director's Comment

People do not welcome negative emotions. However, it may not be easy to overcome these negative feelings despite one’s volition. The Visit visually represented the arrival of the negative emotions as the unstoppable monster with a horror theme. The events that occur throughout the film may seem restricted to the protagonist, but the protagonist’s name Mr. so-and-so signified that anyone can become him in real life. The scenes vary in color as the protagonist’s imagination progresses. The 2D lighting shape technique was applied to add a unique tone to the accustomed 3D look.
