I wanted to explore personal memory and identity against the backdrop of a future society where all memories are digitally stored and shared via the cloud, enabling theoretically perfect recall.

Director JUNG Seunghee's [Dark Cloud Memories] depicts a gloomy prediction about the future in which possession of memory becomes power and controls the identity of individuals and humans. What was the memory that the main character, who erased his own memory for complete memory, tried to find? Did the memories of the twins that had been searching so hard ever exist in the first place? Am I still the one who lost my memory? The world where you have to buy a memory to have a perfect one and sell your own memory again to purchase it, and people stumbling like zombies and puppets without getting out of the chain of contradictions may soon be a reality that you may encounter.
