Synopsis

“You have read all the stories in the world, but can you tell me your story?” The city library is preparing to shut its doors. Confronted with the prospect of being shut down, Mia, an AI database and librarian, begins to question her existence and develop her first creative consciousness.

In the AI era, will books become relics? With the vast databases that exist online, will libraries become historic sites? In 2025 Korea, will the sight of sold-out book fairs speak to past trends of intellectual desires rather than the true essence of books? The popularity of stories has never died, even if they are sold in different forms. In 2049, the AI librarian in the shuttered library begins to write. [The Litterateur] imagines a story written by a new type of author. For a machine, inspiration and passion are errors. The unpredictable stories are conveyed in a visual way.
