Synopsis
Many forget or lose their things. Before long, existence of the things becomes forgotten. There is an old radio in an attic with full of dust. There is an old book behind a bookshelf with full of books, where no one could ever touch. The book lies there as if it were a desert island in the ocean.
In the afternoon after a shower, a woman comes out of a café with nothing in her hand. A red umbrella is still in an umbrella stand at the café. Where on earth are gone all the things of which existence people forget unconcernedly?
The souls of all the forgotten things arrive safely in the underground world where we do not belong to. There live a little darling and two hares. They become the first and last interlocutors to listen to the last stories of the forgotten things. One day, a strange glass bottle falls into this underground world. There is a letter in the bottle. The little darling and the hares make a decision to return this letter to the receiver.
Director's Comment
When a man dies, he or she leaves last words. And the story is told for a long time through generations, making us remember the tellers.
One day, I suddenly realized that all the things around me become forgotten easily. Oblivion might be death to them, I believe. Things do not leave a word being forgotten. As people leave their last words, might it be a little comforting to listen to their last stories? This simple question started this project. Through this film, I would like you to remember and console the things that disappeared dimly. And at the same time, I would like to ruminate on the stories of people in their eyes.
