Program Note
The film shows a unique relationship between the monster and the young boy, not unlike the friendships often seen in Japanese animations. Like Doraemon and Nobita Noby, there is something special yet also familiar throughout the film. Perhaps the creators felt a longing for someone which motivated them to make the film. A film is a public record, but it can also serve as a private journal. This animation makes us imagine the drawings from our childhood sketchbooks coming to life. SEO Pyoungwon
