Synopsis

Program Note

A poor boy casually steals street food in front of the Persia Theater in 1970s Iran. He must get medicine to save his father’s life, and violence is simply a fact of life. Suddenly, a cheerful puppy appears before him. The boy steals some medicine and tries to escape, but the puppy saves him and ends up in danger instead. The boy agonizes over what to do. Will he deliver the medicine to his father in time? Or will he rescue the dog that saved him?
