Synopsis

A 10-year-old girl has an obsession with the loos. Her life from one loo to another is calm, and safe but somewhat lonely. As she grows up, she tries to make sense of this obsession while navigating her way through life.

Program Note

Everyone has a cute little secret that they can’t share with anyone. The girl with an affection for her bathroom reminded me of my own secret from a long time ago and made my ears turn red. The drawings are evocative of youth, being reminiscent of the scribbles we made in our textbooks when the teacher wasn’t looking. It was a time when we were anxious about the future, and having a companion like the loo was a comfort. After all, we all need a safe space to catch our breath. SEO Pyoungwon
