Program Note
This film is made in the style of traditional Chinese paper crafts, and its original Chinese title is Xiaoman. It is like watching a cute theater performance created through folk paintings. The children wearing traditional clothing against the bright red backdrop is heartwarming to see. The main character Xiaoman has a nightmare after encountering a giant catfish and ultimately overcomes it. The child facing her first fear is shown through a dreamlike Chinese fantasy story.
