Synopsis

Fung, a girl who grew up in the old Hong Kong public housing, was having her last year in the primary school. The old estate was about to demolished and rebuilt, neighbours and friends were leaving gradually. Although Fung knew this would happen, she could not let go of the feeling of parting. One day, in this fading homeland, Fung made a special friend.

Program Note

Fung is a girl living in a Hong Kong apartment scheduled for demolition. She knows that she must soon leave this place which she has grown attached to. A day before she must depart, she has an unforgettable encounter. Her school and her home where she grew up, the local shops and the park where she used to play with her friends at sunset—her deeply personal memories take place in spaces shared by everyone. The deep affection for those memories and places are conveyed by the sensibilities of the direction and the music that takes us back to the 2000s.
