Synopsis

Unlike when I was a child who loved God purely, I wanted to melt my experience of being tired of everyday life and away from God.

Director's Comment

As an adult, it was hard to express my true feelings to my family. I wanted to talk about my love with my father like a child through this movie. In addition, I wanted to express the diary containing the imagination of young children in my work interestingly through cut-out techniques using 3D.

Program Note

Having become a grownup, there’s a lot going on inside Minseo’s mind. As if symbolizing his busy thoughts, Minseo’s home is full of dirty dishes and things to clean up. He spends a lonely night without anyone to share his story with. But then he finds an old diary, which invites us into Minseo’s inner thoughts. The thin yet heavy pages are a window inside his memories. The memories might easily be forgotten, but they build up over time and become a burden for Minseo even in adulthood. Yet the diary is Minseo’s own story and his life. When he faces his younger self in his diary, perhaps he is trying to care for and look after himself. JEONG Daun
