Director's Comment

Boundaries between individuals or communities often reveal differences in identity. Around these boundaries, the scale of personal or collective domains expands or contracts in the pursuit of survival. These thoughts shaped by personal experiences and broader social contexts, gradually developed into this animation, with space as its central motif.

This animation uses the unique graphics and grotesque movements of its aesthetics to show how a tiny crack in the boundaries on a bus seat ends up shaking immense social boundaries. Groups of different people recklessly invade each other’s territory in an ironic effort to protect their own, their actions being shown through non-narrative sensibilities and shorthands. It is a sharp examination of the conflicts that result from the breakdown of relationships and intentional intrusions. This elaborate psychological drama visually shows the clashes in the complex web of boundaries in the society in which we live.
