Five atoms that love each other wish to meet again on Earth, but they forget each other on Earth.

On Earth, we are all equal beings, and this work was created with the hope that we would respect each other's existence.

Program Note

We all came from the stars. We wandered the cosmos and were reborn on Earth where we met each other by chance. While atoms endlessly separate and come together again, we too experience countless encounters and separations without ever knowing it. In those brief yet long meetings, we are drawn to each other and feel love, but we also feel hate and loathing for others much too easily. Just because they were different from us, we turned a blind eye and ignored them. Like the atoms that had promised everlasting love, could we be forgetting that promise in a world of so much hate and loathing?
