Program Note

A woman's strange disappearance, set in motion by a switched carry-on at an airport. With a sharp and meticulous gaze, the film traces fragments of the lives of those entangled with her. Muted colors and restrained emotion lend quiet force to a directorial approach that observes its omnibus-structured characters with calm detachment. The precisely interlocked use of 2D and 3D techniques constructs a three-dimensional camera and space beneath a flat color palette, producing an atmosphere that is at once distinctive and grounded. The interplay of rough texture and understated tone leaves the characters' perspectives imprinted on the viewer — understated, yet deeply effective.
