Program Note
At a boarding school governed by rigid rules, someone steals a girl's chocolate. The film visualizes its character's inner psychology through a mise-en-scène of warped lines and planes that embody the distorted discipline lurking beneath the surface order. The girl's desire, as she weaves between rectangular objects, surges and curves like a chocolate ball ricocheting inside a shaking box. A sensory and humorous unraveling of sweet, uncontrollable desire within a space of rigidity and rule.
