Program Note

Rooted in the epic imagination of Russian tradition, this story begins with the commotion of a humble rural village coming together to build a tarantas — a carriage of enormous size. The tarantas travels new roads, markets take shape, and the village gradually grows into a vast city. This chronicle is rendered in the warm textures of delicate colored pencil and pastel tones, evoking an atmosphere suffused with human warmth. Through visual elements and fairy-tale expression that convey the warmth of human connection amid the dynamism of a great civilization being born, the work delivers richly layered emotional resonance.
