Synopsis
Sales Team 3 is selected as the scapegoat to cover up the chairman’s embezzlement scandal. Kwon Juhyun, the team leader of Sales Team 3, attempts to reverse the situation by pointing out the misconduct of Han Donghyun, head of the Online Sales Team. However, Han turns out to be the secret lover of Director Go—the central figure behind the embezzlement case.
When Director Go Miyoung manipulates evidence, Sales Team 3 faces the ultimate threat: collective dismissal. Seizing the opportunity of the company’s sports day preparations, the team attempts to hack Director Go’s computer to retrieve the incriminating data. The hacking attempt is discovered by Han, leading the team to detain him to prevent the truth from getting out.
On the day of the sports event, chaos unfolds. Han tries to escape and expose the truth, while Pilseong and Moonhee struggle to stop him. Minjeong sneaks away to steal Director Go’s phone—hoping to hack it while she is distracted at the event. Meanwhile, Juhyun and Hana, caught up in organizing the sports day, are unwillingly drawn into the escalating mess.
Through a series of frantic, collaborative efforts, Sales Team 3 ultimately uncovers the massive corporate corruption hidden beneath the company’s cheerful facade.
Director's Comment
In today’s hyper-individualistic society, whether we like it or not, many of us live in isolation—divided by generational labels such as “old-school bosses” and “MZ generations.” While work-life balance has become a widely celebrated value, countless efforts to separate work from life often serve to avoid a more uncomfortable truth: forming meaningful relationships at work has become harder than ever.
This film begins with the belief that a new form of solidarity is needed.
The protagonist, Kwon Juhyun, sees himself as a failed adult. Yet beneath that self-doubt lies a quiet desire to become a better kind of grown-up for someone else. By acknowledging his own shortcomings, he extends a desperate but sincere hand of hope—one that invites others to come together.
As Sales Team 3 gradually finds unity, we hope that the audience, alongside them, will discover a renewed sense of connection and the possibility of solidarity—hidden within the lighthearted rhythms of comedy.

Program Note
Yongsun Lee, the director who vividly captured the joys and sorrows of ordinary people in his previous work [I'll Just Live in Bando], returns with [Company Sports Day]. Taking the familiar landscape of the office and transposing it onto the unlikely stage of a company sports day, the film exposes the harsh reality concealed beneath the banner of the "workplace family" — with equal parts humor and bite. With the threat of restructuring looming overhead, the sports day is no longer a celebration of unity for the protagonist and Sales Team 3. It is a desperate survival arena where they must compete to keep their jobs.
The film's greatest strength lies in Lee's signature black comedy sensibility. Blending the rhythm of sitcom and the tempo of slapstick into satirical dialogue and a brisk narrative pace, his direction is masterful in its ability to wrap even the most tragic realities in laughter. Particularly striking is the use of what might be called "visual absurdity" — slipping the raw edges of layoffs, breach of trust, and family collapse into soft, rounded, gentle visuals, so that the temperature gap between image and narrative paradoxically deepens the density of the tragedy.
The crisis facing Sales Team 3 is also a metaphor for the fierce struggle for survival that defines our society today. Rather than an extraordinary hero, the film trains its eye on the choices of ordinary people who have no option but to step onto the playing field of reality. This fable — warm and funny, yet carrying an underlying chill — persistently asks whether solidarity can seep through the cracks of a tightly wound social system. What choices, after all, will we make on that playing field?
