Music video for the electrifying beat track Soul Kitchen by Japanese audio/visual artist Legendary Beast. This work, which pursues a unique rhythmic expression through the multiplication of sound rhythm and visual rhythm, was created with a small drawing size of 75 mm in width.

Program Note

One quickly grows attuned to the pattern born from repeated movements, crafted with the director's own singular sense of rhythm, and from scenes edited to appear almost irregular — and it's the sense of momentum and rhythm generated in that process that stands out. Beyond the sheer freshness of its ingredients and the range of its culinary flair, this is a soul-full film: one where the vitality of movement, never pausing for a single instant, pulls you in before you even realize it, riding the rhythm with your whole body.
