Synopsis
Director's Comment
As technology advances, games are becoming capable of telling richer and more diverse stories. Yet true immersion cannot be achieved through technology alone. This cinematic proof of concept explores how cinematic direction can blur the boundary between gameplay and storytelling, creating a more seamless and emotionally engaging narrative experience.

Program Note
The protagonist's journey into a forbidden zone in search of a missing daughter, Ash, carries a meaning that goes well beyond a simple rescue story. That's because it embodies the director's relentless experimental inquiry, born from the collision between the tension of game-like interaction and the narrative cohesion of cinematic animation. By placing narrative density front and center rather than relying on flashy spectacle, the film weaves together the refined visual grammar of major animation with sharp narrative insight. Blurring the boundary between "playing" and "watching," this film makes a compelling case, in cinematic language, for why we still can't help but lean on stories.
