Program Note

A 2D animation shaped in soft, tender lines against clear negative space and gentle pastel tones. With a lyrical melody spreading quietly across the screen, the film lingers unhurriedly over life's small, everyday moments, gently embracing the silence of old age and the weight of time settled within it. Above all, the family's own voices were used for the film, so what we hear feels less like an invented story than a genuine warmth drawn straight from someone's living room. Like the cross-section of a lotus root, its holes threaded one into the next, the film quietly reflects the memories and feelings that have flowed from one generation to the next.
