Program Note

A house drifting through space, a vanished ear, and fragmented memory — these three threads sustain the strange trajectory of Journey Home. Floating through the silent void, the house is at once a tranquil refuge and a peculiar prison of isolation. This eerie variation, which begins as part of her body disappears along with her husband's whisper, instantly transforms an everyday space into the site of a bizarre mystery. This film is a spellbinding chronicle of memory, rendering — with a cool, eerie beauty — how the things we once remembered and loved fragment and drift through the vast unconscious space of the universe, and the immense void that remains.
