Program Note

So this is the fun of secretly peeking in on someone else's tingling, giddy romance. Moving between past and present with a spare, understated style and direction, the film renders ordinary moments across summer and winter all the more special. It felt distinctly “Korean,” and yet I loved its honesty — never forcing itself to wring sympathy out of a wide audience. The running time isn't long, but it lingers, much like a genuine, tender memory from high school that stays with you.
