Program Note

This is a story that looks back on a person who, in the end, could never be understood or reached. A child once absorbed in folding paper grows, almost without notice, into a teenager, while a father who once felt impossibly large is left behind at a bus stop, stone-still, growing distant. Much time is left unspoken between those two moments, yet the film lets us fully imagine the silence and countless hesitations that must have filled it. Aching over a relationship that drifted apart simply because both people were too awkward to help it, the film returns to that childhood heart that once sent a paper airplane flying toward you. A film whose resonance lingers long after it ends.
