Program Note

A mayfly’s single day shines brightly, only to disappear in an instant. Contrary to its title, Nowhere to Go, the brief journey shared by the two mayflies feels free and bittersweet, as if they could reach anywhere together. Through the meeting of two mayflies that transcend time and space, the film reflects on the beauty of beings living through their own moments. Because their time is destined to end, these moments shine all the more vividly and remain with us long after.
