Despite her family’s opposition, she prolonged her academic career with a thirst for learning and a firm will to help Korea. Finally, she majored in economics at Stockholm University, so she was the first Korean to receive a bachelor’s degree in economics. However, despite her firm will to work for her home country, when she came back to Korea, it wasn’t easy for Young-suk to find a job.
