Synopsis
In 1923, Young-suk graduatedfrom Ewha Women’s School and left for China to study. Despiteher family’s opposition, she prolonged her academiccareer with a thirst for learning and a firm will to help Korea. Finally, shemajored in economics at Stockholm University, so she was the first Korean toreceive a bachelor’s degree in economics. However,despite her firm will to work for her home country, when she came back toKorea, it wasn’t easy for Young-suk to find a job.
Director's Comment
Remember Young-suk CHOI(1906~1932), not from the rumors and gossip, but as a protagonist of a lifethat was dedicated to confronting the times.
