Synopsis
Just like ancient mural paintings, apainting drawn on six 76.2 cm × 101.6 cm panels has a story to tell. It is thestory of a small eel wishing to become something greater than itself.
Director's Comment
Just aSmall is a “replacement animation” based on watercolor drawings. In the vast blue field of the ocean,Bidan was one of many eels but wanted to exceed biological and physical limits.Similarly, the artist wanted to create a short animation from a single drawingand overcome her own limitations as well.
