Synopsis

This is the story of the people living at a de-militarized border and a parent and child who are victims of circumstance. Individuals are manipulated by the political powers, leading them to extremes of violence and division.

Director's Comment

A core idea of this animated film is to depict how characters are engaged with a tragic event. The motivation of this story comes from the interviews which revealed the history of violence in South Korean border villages around the De-Militarized Zone in Korea. I was interested in how animation is able to interact with those real-life incidents through a fictional interpretation that calls up the past and the present.
